General Meetings

Parent Education Meetings are normally held at Tom Thumb Preschool the second Tuesday of every month at 7 – 9 PM.

The goal of these meetings is to offer informative speakers on topics related to teaching, enriching and raising our preschoolers.

Attendance at these meetings is required for all parents. If you miss a Meeting, you are required to 1) Read the Minutes and 2) Make up this missed time. Please refer to the Missed Meeting Letter that your Class Representative is required to give to you to sign and return.

Remember that parents act as teaching assistants in the classroom and the Community Care Facilities Licensing Board – the organization that sets standards for child care centres in BC – requires parents to complete at least 10 hours of orientation as well as have ongoing access to parent education.
